Terms of service

Last updated 2026-09-01

These terms govern your use of GILT and its services. By opening a vault you agree to them.

1. The service

GILT provides a zero-knowledge vault: you seal passwords, documents and keys, and nominate heirs to inherit them.

2. Your obligations

You are responsible for the content you seal, the heirs you nominate and the conditions you set for release.

3. Fees

Fees are based on your plan, as disclosed on the pricing page. We never charge for sealed-but-idle vaults.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use GILT for any unlawful purpose, including storing data you do not have the right to store.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, GILT's liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
